2 died, the one was Yankee's pitcher Cory Lidle and the other that died was his flight instructor. They are still trying to figure out why it crashed. They have discovered the log book but are still looking into how it crashed. As far as they know there was no mayday call placed either.

it was a student pilot (the baseball player) and his teacher. it looks like they were trying to avoid something and were not able to make a complete turned when it crashed. the baseball player played with the ny mets as a release pitcher. he was only 34 and leaves behind a wife and a small child
