Well, when I was a child (about age 9), I saw on TV a film of a man locked up in a phone cabin and he could not get out.At the end they doing the phone cabin to a depot and it was full with dead people in phone cabines. This film won a price in the 70's (I think in Venice Italy)was Italian spoken. This film gave me for years the creeps.

I have to agree with the original Exorcist. Not many movies scare me today other than ones I can relate to in real life.

The Exorcist however, touched on what I think is very personal to a lot of people which is their religion. The idea that demons exist and the power of possession is something that only existed in the bible and this film gave it life. When I first saw this movie, back in Feb. 1974, there were long lines to see that movie! We had to wait for 2 show times to see it. An ambulance was there because people were fainting and getting sick! I remember when Regan turned into that demon I kept putting my coat over my face cause I couldn't look at her! Do you see any horror flicks today that has that kind of impact? If there is, than I would have to say it's scarier than The Exorcist. I mean the tabloids and magazines,tv were filled with people becoming possessed.Horror movies up until then were pretty tame. It helped that the flick used a lot of unknown but superb actors and directed by William Friedkin who'd won an oscar for another good thriller flick, The French Connection. I read the book and the movie followed it pretty accurately except the movie left questions unanswered, thus all the sequels.

The St. Francisville Experiment. I can watch pretty much anything on my own including The Exorcist but I couldn't watch this film, it was horrible. It's not well known, i found it when i was browsing through the local Blockbuster video rental shop a couple of years ago, it was described as "Big Brother meets Blair Witch Project" so I thought it would just be a cheesy low budget film. I was sooooo wrong!!!

I've seen a TON of scary movies! The first one I ever watched was Darkness Falls. It's about a tooth fairy who kills kids who lose their last tooth. It's a great movie to check out! I've also seen The Grudge and The Grudge 2. You kind of have to see the first one BEFORE the second one to know what's going on! But The Grudge and The Grudge 2 are great movies and I totally recommend them all the way! I've also seen Chucky, which is a pretty good movie. I've seen the Boogeyman which is an awesome scary movie. People think that by the cover of the movie, it's not that scary. But it's scary and has a good story behind it. Disturbia is kind of creepy, but I absolutely love that movie! It's a great one! The most recent scary movie I have watched is Dead Silence. It's about a doll who has a spirit and kills you when there's dead silence. The doll's maker was Mary Shaw who was a ventriloquist. At one of her shows, a little kid said that he could see her mouth movie. From then on Mary Shaw killed that little boy and the rest of his family for years to come. And if you see her in your dreams you cannot scream because she will kill you by ripping out your tongue. All of the movies I have just mentioned are very awesome and are worth checking out!
