If you are having chronic headaches with Yasmin, you should consult your doctor, it could be that you cannot tolerate the medication! Headaches can be a sign of side effects, like elevated or lowered blood pressure! I am not sure which medications are safe to take with the medication, but I do suggest a call to the doctor about the headaches depending on their severity and their frequency! It's better to be safe than sorry. If I understand the medication this could be one of the side effects that you should notify your doctor about if they are bothersome.

From the look of what I read about the product you are taking a headache could be an early warning of a stroke! You may not need birth control if you screw up and have a stoke, sometimes it ain't a pretty sight afterwards. I would be very careful with this and remember that even if a medication works well to prevent pregnancy it may not be "good for everyone". Some of the new preparations have progesterine in them (which is a male hormone) and many women cannot tolerate it, plus it has it's own set of nasty side effects like increased facial hair, and body hair and things like that.

So just to be safe be careful with your health...I know that I used to have problems with some birth control medications and my blood pressure...If you think your blood pressure is high and your head is really hurting badly, you could stop by a firestation and if there is an EMT there they will check your blood pressure for free. From the look of the patient information in the link below there probably isn't anything over the counter you can take for the headaches. You may need to take something different for your birth control. Good luck and please be well.
