My period is two weeks late, I'm usually ultra regular and I have a coil fitted. I don't feel unwell in anyway but I'm worried after somebody told me one in hundred women get pregnant with a coil. Has anybody experienced this? Were there any problems? Am I just paranoid as I've never missed a period before.

I had a coil for 5years and only had about 6 or 7 periods in that whole time. Don't work yourself up about what this person has said to you. For your own peace of mind do a test, most of the time we can be a few days late then the panic over whether we have got pregnant makes matters worse then because its the worry over a late period that making it late. Remember a late period doesn't always mean your pregnant. Dieting & stress can affect periods to. But like I said do a test, then you'll no one way or other. Good luck hope everything works in the end

You don't say what kind of coil you're on - but if it's a Mirena (hormonal coil) you can stop having periods altogether and it is nothing to worry about.

If it is the regular coil - I think it would be extremely unlikely that you could become pregnant, but I'd do a test just for peace of mind.

Have you checked the strings recently to make sure its still actually there?
If you are 2 weeks late then a pregnancy test will be accurate.
If you are pregnant you need to know ASAP as the coil can damage the baby.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/0ih2Q
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

Well, IF you haven't had sex it may be a side effect of the coil.

But if you are having sex, which I assume you are, TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST.....
