No, they're a nicer fit, and there's never a risk anything precious gets caught in the zipper. I'm also never caught with my fly open. They are a nuisance to get off quickly though, but as girls have annoying bra clasps, guys are allowed button flies.

Yes, never wear them when you plan on drinking either. I did that one night and almost didnt make it to the toilet
