it would depend on the breed of goose. If you are thinking of the normal embden goose then they are around the same size. However if you think about the brecon buff or canada goose for example, then a swan is bigger.
I have never seen any swan with a wingspan of 9 feet as someone here suggested. I have kept, bred and shown geese for many years and live in the fens which is an area near Welney wildfowl centre which ia a massive overwintering ground for different species of swans so se them regularly. I have also taken in injured swans and they are not noticably bigger than embden geese which is the common white goose. They may have a slightly longer wingspan but I take larger to mean body size and compared to the embden they are similar body sized.

If they are tall and stand rather upright (a bit like the duck from the Aflac commercials) and have a knobby thing on their forehead they are called swan geese (type of goose). If flat forehead and shaggy thick neck and stand more horizontally then they are china whites. Both have orange beaks and, yeah, if you aren't part of the family you aren't invited to their party ;)

Definitely a swan. My B I L has both swans and geese. The swans are definitely bigger. They are about twice the size, girth wise and they stand taller.
