The most terrifying thing threatening America today is the blind and foolish Americans who somehow think "If we leave them alone, they'll leave us alone". They shrink and cower at the thought of maybe hurting those who want to kill us all, but snap and bite at the hand of the person who tries to protect them. And worse, they can't see how insane it all is. That's terrifying.

How, exactly, do you think Mr. Bush has provoked the North Koreans? Back in Bill Clinton's presidency, we sat down for discussions with KR and worked out an agreement WHICH THEY SIGNED saying that in exchange for a different kind of technology, they would not develop nuclear weapons. And at that very same time, Kim Jong Il was already working to develop a nuclear bomb, and he never stopped.
He is a despotic little man who cannot be trusted. Since they lied to us once, why trust them again? George W. Bush has backbone. He says what he means, and he sticks to his word on stuff unless someone can show that there's a viable alternative.
Everyone wants to blame this presidency for everything that has gone wrong in the world, when the truth is that GWB inherited a lot of what he's had to deal with in his terms.
As for the number of dead you've seen, you don't say how old you are, but I recommend checking the numbers for WW2.

N. Korea is not Bush's fault. Kim Jung IL is an insane dictator, which has killed millions of his own people. He has broken every agreement he has ever made with the U.S. Beginning with the agreement that ended the Korean war. N.Korea regularly slips across the border and kills S. Korean and American soldiers.
In 1994 Clinton entered into an agreement with Kim, in which Kim promised to stop nuclear research. For this Clinton was sending 210 million dollars a year and supplying N.Korea with food.
Kim used the money to further his nuclear program, let his people starve and used the food to feed his military.
Bush refuses to make another useless agreement with him that only benefits N.Korea.
Bush called for the six party talks, rather than one on one with Kim.
