There can be no excuses for England's sad performance over the last few years? So given that past and present managers are themselves a joke I think that it is time to bring on a woman to manage the England squad.

Someone who has the ability to recognise talent and to apply that talent to the advancement of the team. And someone that can encourage cohesion and stability to a squad.

A team needs time to gel and develop and I think that a women manager could achieve this. So what do you think of my radical idea?.

Ok so you recon a woman should manage England? How do we prove it a good idea or a bad idea? The only way I can think of is getting the full England mens side to play a match against the full England womens side and then you would see the difference betwen men and women not just the standard of playing but the standard of coaching, believe me there is no comparison no matter how bad the England team look at the moment. One plus side of the men playing the women would be the exchanging of the shirts afterwards especially that Rachal Yankee. Now she is HOT!!!

This is nutterism at its very best.
From the very premise of a female manager to the use of the word 'women' in the singular, it reveals the appalling lack of intelligence and education among the posters.
The site's resident nutter certainly knows how to attach similar crackpots to a lunatic theme.
Keep it up - it's great for a laugh, just like the own goal.

I agree, i think the England female team manager should be given the job. her name is Hope Powell and has done an excellent job for us she hasn't been scared to drop her star players either, I Know that the Big Mac dropped Becks but why is Lumpard, Rooney etc still being picked when they are out of form we were promised that every one will be dropable but as yesterday proved he will not. We need someone with the balls to mix it up and show the team who the boss is.

I am a woman, so i am not sexist, but no a woman manager is not the answer. Give McClaren a chance, don't be so quick to condemn. He tried a new system last night, it didn't work. But what if it had???? It was a risk a change, but lets be honest, we need a shake up and at least he is trying to find the right formula

Fine, we've had a Scholarish swede with absolutely no interest in the game so why not employ Trinny and Susannah, at least the teamwould look good for the next generations of David Beckhams.

honestly speaking...good idea
NO woman could do a worse job than the recent men

but, with the high paid "professionals" on the pitch...it's about time THEY started being held responsible

if anyone watched the U21 match Germany v England on Tuesday evening, they would have seen GOOD football (from England anyway)

The games are won or lose by the players on the field. The managers have very little to do whit it. Man or woman, until English players learn to play the game, doesn't matter.
