I came out to my office yesterday. It was no big deal the only comment was thanks for sharing but that may have been about the cake. More people asked for the recipe for that than about me. LOL I thought it really showed how far we have come in society where here in the south the heart of the Bible belt Coming out was no big deal.

I didn't come out yesterday, but I plan on coming out to my parents this weekend. It is hard because of a fear of rejection and disapproval from the two people who are supposed to love you most in the world. My friends are fine with it, and I have lots of people who support me here that I can fall back on if my parents don't. Wish me luck!!

i came out on the 9th of September this year
i did not know there was a coming out day
i found it hard to come out on my own
i had a friend that would not shut up and told everyone she knew
i thank her for that as is was easier than me having to say it over and over
but she did not say anything until shortly after i told my mother
my mum was the only person i wanted to tell my self
as i thought i would be best
hearing the words your son is no longer your son
as he wants to become a female
yes i am a transsexual well pre op anyway
mum and i have not talked very much since that day but i am sure we will get over that after i start to transition

For a person who hates gays and wishes we'd go away, the person above me sure is spending quite a bit of time answering LGBT answers.

I just copied everyone on my phone and gave a text message reminding them I was gay and would celebrate my renewed gayness this weekend.
