Of course this is just fiction, but if anyone read "1984", this could be imagined as some form of control: People thinking that they are exchanging views and advice and suddenly it can be traced back and you are in the sh*t because you e.g. talk against Muslims or against the government, etc.
Do you think it is possible that someone might exploit it to trace individuals back?

I never thought about that.
What if it is all a type of survey, to see what we think about different things, a marketing study of sorts.

Too uninteresting for me, if I only needed a real answer sure it somewhat is a competent theory, despite if at here this is the social interplay that makes it advantageous putting up with the somewhat some trash that comes alongside now and back.

I thought Yahoo! Answers was a "Big Brother" tool to control what we think! That's why everyone on here loves Americans and hates Arabs.

Scary thought....could possibly happen if terror continues and ppl freak out...strive for "safety" only to clamp down on public forums. Guess freedom of speech wouldn't be all that free then if ppl got into trouble for what they said here.
