those old chrome bumpers and other parts added a lot of additional weight to cars which is bad for gas mileage.........the new plastics and other materials keep car lighter plus aero dynamic designs are better for gas mileage

Too expensive and corrodes. No good for 5 year bodywork guarantees.

I went away, because it was heavy and reduced gas mileage, plus it is more expense than plastic
