The amount of alcohol that it takes to make a person drunk depends on two things. The persons weight and their alcohol tolerance. A person that only weighs 110 lbs that doesn't drink often could become drunk on very little alcohol.

I classify drunkenness on a 1-5 scale.
Level 1 is slight lightheaddedness with mild euphoria - about 2-3 drinks (a drink is from here on anything equialent to one pint of beer at 5% alcohol by volume - I homebrew, so I drink a lot)
Level 2 is characterized by the same symptoms, but slightly more intense. At which point I become very energetic and talkitive. Takes 3-4 drinks
Level 3 is a turning point... I begin to be so drunk I don't recognise how light headed I am. Usually I am still energetic, but by a slighgtly less amount than in level 2. Typically this is after 5 drinks.
Level 4 is where the depressant effects kick in. My speech begins to degrade, and I get very lazy. This range covers about 6-8 drinks
Level 5 Is where speech is useless. I can't walk straight, but haven't tried since I've been too lazy to get off the couch. I really don't know how I behave in level 5 because I can never remember. This is typically after 8 drinks.
All of these numbers are standardized for about 3-4 hour drinking time. If I drink longer, add one drink for each extra hour. Likewise, if I cram my drinking into two hours, subtract 1 from the number of drinks required.

Last night I drank vodka from 10 pm till 3 am and got up at 6 am and wasn't drunk at all. Felt normal. I guess and I'm guessing cause I don't keep count about 5 or 6 shots before I start feeling all happy and stuff. I don't get drunk tho.

It depends on my mood. I once had 8 shots of a vodka/southern comfort (silver bullet i think they call it) AND 2 beers with 5-10 mins between each drink but i could still play pool and win against someone who hadn't drunk anything!

Beer: about 6
Wine: about 5 glasses
Liquor:about 4 cocktail glasses
But I am a fabulous, fluffy diva (that's fat for those who don't understand)
