Some people Believe in evolution and claim that man is Africa. Other believe in the Bible and the Koran and believe that man is from the Middle East. Who's right and why do you think so. And if not either of those places, where do you think man came from?

Africa. there were at least two migrations of humans from Africa. One led to Neanderthals, which, although extremely close to modern humans, are an evolutionary dead end. At a later point there was another migration from Africa that eventually populated most every region. Genetic studies show African populations have the most diverse DNA which shows they are the oldest populations.

Now the oldest civilizations - true established cities - are from the Middle East - mostly what is now Iraq.

I personally think the first man would have come from somewhere in between. At some point Africa and Asia still connected. I don't disbelieve Evolution but I just find it hard to believe it took as long as people teach. After all if you have a climate that will change in a matter of a hundred years or so, wouldn't man have gone extinct if it took him a million years to adapt to each climate change.

It would be almost impossible to know exactly where Human existence started, it is all someones opinion on what they believe, some people believe that we came from mars because the atmosphere became to harsh to live, but that is just someones opinion. Its hard to imagine that they only came from Africa or the Middle East, of course at one time it was just one big land mass that separated over millions of years. Good Luck finding an answer to this I think it will be nearly impossible.

Man's ancestors 12 million years ago were apes that lived in Africa. They moved into Eurasia and was one of the many apes that evolved there. One of those apes probably went back to africa. Man's ancestors further evolved into a bipedal ancestor to humans and chimps maybe 7 to 6 million years ago. Man's branch then separated from the ape that went on to be chimps.

Man's branch probably grew larger and evolved into Homo erectus or more specifically Homo ergaster (I am missing some steps for brevity). This creature probably had already moved out of africa for 2 million years. One of these ancestors, whether it was from Africa or Asia went on to evolve into Homo sapiens. I think that like today, many human ancestors lived in Africa and Eurasia. Therefore it may be more accurate to say they evolved in both areas. For those who believe that whites evolved from Neanderthal, Asians evolved from H. Erectus, are ignorant in my opinion although I do support the multi-regional theory as I just expressed it.

Those who insist on an out of Africa, and I am not refering to those who just repeat what they heard assuming the scientist should know, are actually practicing a form or racism at worst or wishful thinking at best IMO. Darwin predicted that humans came from Africa because that is where our nearest relatives, Chimps, live. There seems to have been a bias ever since. There seems to be a subtle racist thought that some seem to have that Africa is where the primitive humans are from and this is totally rediculous.

I saw a show where someone was predicting that the Kung! San, the bushman of Africa, was the race which all other evolved. I thought it was a little like looking at the tip of ten branches in a tree and trying to suggest one is the trunk but I digress.

I think they came from the area where Africa, the Middle East and Asia meet - near the nile river and Israel. If you've ever seen this side of the world you know it has the best temperature, and best agricultural conditions (they are messed up now due to war and overpopulation, but it's still very impressive) in the world. It would be easy to see it as the cradle of man. Besides, if you took everyone in the world and 'blended' them - wouldn't they look like a person from that side of the world? I think so. So it seems logical that would be where we all started from - migrated to wherever our ancestors went to - and developed our own characteristics from there.

Most sources say that Africa is man's most likely place of origin. Some have suggested a lost continent, now submerged or blown to smithereens. Who is right? I cannot really presume to say. I have honest doubts about the accuracy of the Bible though.
