you probably see a ton of flies bc there is some sort of rotting food nearby for them to feed on, but no meat for them to lay eggs in. cockroaches are one of the janitors of nature, along with flies. and mosquitoes are really only there to serve as easy food for fish and stuff, other than that, theyre pretty much useless.

Maggots need dark places so that they can grow and be nurtured. That way they can become healthy little flys! Some places maggots could be found are in abandoned trashcans, or old food containers in the back of cabinets. There is a lot of nutrients in these places and its nice and dark :)
Cockroaches are useless.
Mosquitos carry the west niles virus, BUT mosquitos are useful in the way that if you find one stuck in some ancient sap, and the last thing it sucked on was a dinosaur, it can help us learn about the past. I love dinosaurs, but I do not like mosquitos, still I feel I should thank those little parasites :]

Maggots tend to grow and strive in dark moist areas like bottom of trash cans, or ares where leftover food that has been sitting. The lifespan of a fly is a few days but the cycle from maggot to fly can take up to a week. When they lay the eggs they are by the hundreds. hope this helps

You have not been dead long enough? Re. cockroaches they serve a useful purpose gobbling up crumbs. And mosquito's? Well without them we would not have to purchase "Off" so they help keep some folks employed and keep a company in business. Its the American way ( or maybe "Off" is outsourced?)
