Try department stores. Up here in Mt Pleasant, and back when I lived in Grand Rapids, the stores always started hiring for holiday work right before Halloween.

YOu could also see about stuff at Malls, like being an elf or a photographer for the Santa booths.

If you have shovels and are home early in the day, put out fliers that you will shovel drive ways for a price. Depending on the size of the driveway, I'd say $10 for a regular city sized driveway. Larger driveways, $20.
