Because they think they grew enough and the world will smile to them next year...

And they are not wrong...

Bye...

Because you tend to get more attention, and on that particular day, you are the centre of attraction.

The fact you are a year older does not matter, everyone will come up to you and say "Happy Birthday"

You feel important, people know you are there, and the feeling that others are taking an interest in your life.

Maybe there is a lesson here to learn. Let's treat all our friends and colleges as if it was their birthday.

Could improve the world?

Because they get to be the centre of attention for a while and get lots of presents. Plus birthday cake and we can't forget jelly and ice-cream! Who wouldn't be happy an a day where that's a perfectly acceptable meal?!

Every day your life span is less, and every second of every day...birthdays are a celebration of your birth and the life you have lived so far. Some people aren't happy on their birthdays...some people aren't even happy if they were hung with a new rope! Go figure...

Most people thrive on attention which, they will get in varying levels on their birthday. Not to mention the gifts they are likely to get. Personally I dislike birthdays as they remind me I've been on this horrible little planet for yet another horrible 365 day - but thats just me!
