Selling a high mileage car is no problem at all as long as you have had it regularly serviced.

Another thing is, if your car has done say 100k miles on motorway, it has a better chance than a car that has done 100k around town etc, as there is less wear to the car as you don't stop, start and do lots of hard breaking.

Beleive me, a car that has done 100k motorway and regularly serviced, sitting side by side the same type or any other good make car will stand out a lot more to be in better condition overall than the town driven one also regularly serviced.

Another thing to remember as well is that some cars weather better than others.

A merc which I owned done 150k with FSH was immaculate, mercs last forever. Jap cars are good reliable cars.

Regarding sticking your car into reverse to turn clock back, I owned a Citroen BX and when I reversed a long way back down a farm track near RAF Wattisham airbase, I noticed that my mileometer was lowering the miles.

Good luck with your sale

I don't really think that will work. If the car is well taken care of then you should be able to find a buyer. My husband and I both bought a car and a truck with mileage over 100,000. We are still driving them today. Good Luck!!!
