HIV virus is a retro virus. means as soon our immune system synthesizes antibodies against it ,meanwhile it changes to other form.so manufacturing particular antibodies against it is not easy.
this way it keeps on damaging our immune system.

It attacks the 'T' cells limiting the body's ability to fight off infections, etc.
