Fruit flies are very hard to get rid of! There's really nothing you can spray either. In my experience, take a mid-sized bowl and put wine (or fruit juice) in it and cover it with plastic wrap. Put holes in the top of the plastic wrap just big enough for the fruit flies to get in, but they can't get out. Set it where they seem to be the most or somewhere up high in the kitchen so it's not in sight, if you prefer. Get rid of fruit in your home and make sure your garbages are cleaned regularly. It's good to clean out any breeding areas to prevent them from coming back. One main place they like to lay eggs and multiply is in your sink drains. They are very hard to kill and sometimes even bleach won't do it. You might have to buy a chemical to actually pour down your drains. I actually keep bleach under my sink year round to pour in my sink drain on a regular basis just to sanitize and keep them clean. It must work...they haven't been back. Good Luck!

Set out a bowl filled with soapy water (dishsoap). In the center of the bowl place (float) a much smaller bowl containing any kind of vinegar. The flies will be attracted to the vinegar but will get stuck in the soapy water and die. Change the water frequently as the bubbles will lose volume and there will be lots of dead fruit flies.
