Coming from a huge family we have a ton of food. Two turkey's or so, a ham, sometimes beaf. Then everyone brings their favorite side dish and dessert. There is usually enough food to feed a NFL team and still have leftovers :) Stuffing, mac n cheese, potatoes, yams, corn, green bean casserole, potatoe casserole, pea surprise, I could go on all day. And of course there is always a foot ball game to watch, board game to play, and depending on the weather a nice family walk after all the food.

We serve turkey and extra breasts as nearly everyone prefers white meat. Also, traditional bread stuffing, potatoe stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, pumpkin pie, apple pie and pecan pie. We divide up the cooking but everyone has their own specialties. We keep it very informal. Our goal is to have a great, fun time. Our biggest gratitude is spending the day with family. We're truely thankful and blessed.

Thanksgiving at our house has dwindled down to 6 people. It used to be about 20-25 but since my Grandma died, my aunts and uncles don't come around anymore. We have Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams, corn, olives, baby carrots (raw) and celery (some with peanut butter, some with cheese). For the pies we have Pumpkin, chocolate and coconut cream.

My #1 lover now is from Japan, so she prepares some of her native dishes. Last Thanksgiving, she prepared a fancy live lobster centerpiece with much of the flesh cut into flower petal patterns but not enough to kill the lobster. We have vegetable tempura with it plus miso soup and salad with Japanese dressing and green tea or warm sake to drink. For desert, we have green tea ice cream. If I visit relatives, it's the monotonous turkey with dressing and cranberry sauce, mashed potaoes, yams and pumpkin pies. Miyuki saves me from that.
