When television airs something before we can choose not to watch it, does this not infringe on my rights? When I have to try to explain to a 4 year old what Viagra is, has television went too far with their right to air the commercial? Should their right out weigh my right?

Has anyone tried to find the remote to hit the mute button? I'm not aganist freedom of speech. I think freedom should work for everyone, not a select few. I have traveled all over the world, and this is the best place in the world to live, but I think it could be better, thats all.

Lecturing me on your rights to free speech, is not answering the question.

You're possibly right and I understand your point, but once we start limiting freedom in one area, it spreads to everything, and before long we're living in a society confined by boundaries and control. I'm not saying "let's have a free for all", but simply that we have to accept a certain amount of responsibility for the freedom we have. Your freedom, although it can seem fairly insignificant, is based in the right you have to change the channel, walk away, explain Viagra however you see fit to your four year old, and write messages on the internet about how you feel. Just imagine living in a place where you don't have those options... I think you'd pick the Viagra commercial over that anyday.

While some content on TV is of questionable taste, you do have a mute button and in the end you don't even have to have a TV at all. And you don't have to have your 4 year old watching it. You don't really have a right to censor other's speech, and it has long been understood that TV is funded by commercial advertisement - you have accepted the facts about it by having a TV and turning it on. Your choices are as noted and no one stops you from excercising your options.

Here's a novel concept for you. Turn off the TV long before it has a chance to upset you. I think it is too much TV which has led you to this convoluted logic. My right of free speech has already been gutted by people who think like you do. Why do you feel compelled to explain viagra to a 4 year old anyway? They cannot understand if you try.
People who claim offense by free speech are usually trying to keep you from hearing viewpoints which they don't agree with.

Blame the government for the Viagra commercials. They are the ones who changed the law concerning truth in advertising as it relates to drugs.

Try hitting the mute button as soon as the show goes into commercial. I agree that ED commercials should not be on in prime time. It's not appropriate.

Thirty years ago people were complaining about anti-diarrhea medicine. Twenty years ago people were complaining about feminine products being advertised. People will get used to this as well.
With kids you do not need to be very explicit with your explanation. It is not lying to your kids if you do not tell everything to all of their questions.

confident- Freedom of speech means you have the desirable to assert what you prefer, lie or not. The section human beings get caught up in, is that the liberty of speech does not mean you do not ought to take accountability for what you assert. All of our strikes have effects, as they should. I extremely have the desirable to allow you understand a lie- in spite of the implications of that lie are, I ought to settle for. Therefor, you should continuously think of in the previous you talk- you have the desirable to assert in spite of it is- yet do you prefer to take the autumn-out from it?

There no such thing as ideal world in every sense.
It is always the commerce which dominates.
