kays, i set up mine at www.mysite.com there you can choose between a free one -that had ads on it- like i did, or ones you pay for, that dont have ads and have more thing to offer. you can also try www.freewebs.com or www.tk.com

good luck! oh, and visit my site: www.angela-rose.mysite.com

p.s. if you decide to go with the free one, your url will have 'mysite' on it, like in mine. one you pay takes it of like any other site. so you just go to one of those, they'll take you step by step on how to construct your site.

The quickest way is thru http://www.geocities.com

they provide free html tools.

If you want to build something more complicated then you will need to buy a domain, for example from yahoo (http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.register.com or http://www.godaddy.com, actually many domain providers).

you need to look around as some providers can lock you into bad agreements and cost you alot.

In terms of build, you might want to look at tools like Frontpage or download free editors froms http://www.download.com or http://www.simtel.com. Also some magazines have some good free stuff, whereas there is usually an expirey date of 30 days on most web software.

well it depends on if you want to do it in HTML yourself or if you are going to use what i call a "free hosted" site like Geocities, or Tripod. both of those have decent templates for you to use.
However if you are going to use code it in HTML yourself, you will need to find a host, after you have coded some of the page yourself

hope that helps :)
