I got transferred from Chennai to Trivandrum Capital of Kerala state, in April'06. So, I'm having the experience of living in Kerala for the last 6 months. It's really a nice place. Climate is excellent unlike Chennai. Good people and Lot of beautiful places, beaches and temples to see in Kerala. I like it except food.

Food is great, people is beautiful and mostly generous Go to kumarakam to see the waterfronts of kerala.

If you go to kerala, you will see a lot of coconut trees - you will never see that many in any other place in the world. Also you will get a chance to see the most beautify elephants of the world.

God's own country - is often an understatement, but before you get carried away - hold on.

If you are thinking of visiting Kerala, now is not the time, (been there myself all of last week) Dancing in the rain may sound exotic, but definitely not with mosquitoes as company!

Chikenguniya is wreaking havoc all over the place. Wait for a couple of months - till Christmas - and hopefully by then things would have settled down.

Then have the blast of your life - I bet that this will be one holiday that you will not forget!

Kerala is extreemly beautiful and is considered as God's own country.People are helping ,simple, educated but a bit more sentimental.Food is good but more spicy.Definitely enjoy the house boats in the back waters at Kochi.

I have visited so many times.

The Place - very good, natural environment, beautiful, lush green all +++ Really GOD'S OWN PLACE.

People - Not so good - Cunning.Next to Punjabis (Sadat's) and Tamils.

Food - Very good but more of Coconut and coconut oil - not suitable for heart patients. Otherwise very good. ChakkaPradaman and Palpayasam Yammy. Lot of fish.
