It might be that your internet service provider's server was busy that time. or you could possibly be using much of your internet bandwidth for downloading something else simultaneously. If you do not have a broadband connection open atmost 4-6 sites only at a time.
If nothing else works try disconnecting from internet completely , then clean up your browser cache and then connect again.
