Yes. Run a spell-checker on your machine until it corrects itself and starts saying, "memory TOO low". (OK, just kidding)
Oh, and for the IT PROFESS answer, memory has everything to do with the HardDrive. A portion of the HD is allocated to be an extension of memory and is often called, Swap File or Swap Space, and is considered Virtual Memory.

Well I suppose the obvious answer would be that you could buy more RAM for your computer. But before doing that, assuming you are working on a windows PC, you could try increasing the size of the virtual memory paging file. Click on your Windows "Start" button and select "Help." Then do a search for virtual memory paging and you should find step by step directions to increase the size. The steps will slightly differ based on your OS so searching for it through help is easier than me typing it out.
Keep in mind that this virtual memory uses your hard drive space as memory so it is much slower than physical RAM that you have in your PC. RAM is pretty inexpensive nowadays so if you find your PC running slow with the increased paging file size, I'd consider getting more RAM.
One final tip is to run a virus scan and a spyware scan. You may be infected with malware that could be eating up memory. Also see if you have any programs running that perhaps you don't really need and uninstall them. The less programs you have running, the faster your computer will run and boot up (generally). If you don't know what you are doing please seek additional advice because we don't want you to randomly uninstall things and make things worse. Good luck.

When I was writing my book and working on each chapter to edit or correct...they were put in my document file. This file became cluttered with these "documents." Then when I tried to edit a family tree which was over 100 pages long, my computer told me there wasn't enough memory. I knew I had a ton of memory but found it was possible to use it up within a few days. My new Dell has a feature that shows me where and what is in memory, so I can clean it up regularly.

that usually happens when you have too many processes running at the same time .
if you are not running that much programs, it only means that you have some spyware and viruses running on your pc .
