It is a small one, (about four feet)and it's growing by the Koy pond. I'm afraid that when it gets bigger the roots will put a hole in the pond liner. It's beautiful here in MD now, but it will get cooler soon. What to do? Thanks! :) Arum

Best to plant during dormancy, after leaves fall, after first freeze. The best advice will probably come from staff at a local retail plant nursery or from a state university agricultural extension service.

My prime suggestions: maintain a large root ball when you remove from present location; pull the plant from its hole onto a tarp in order to better preserve the root ball and to enable dragging, rather than lifting, to new location; plant in a location which gets 6 - 8 hours of direct sun during blooming season; create a soil berm at approximately the drip line (to concentrate water); cover from berm to trunk with pine straw; keep well watered through the Spring until well established in summer.

the final element you're able to do for crepe myrtles is trim the backside suckers and not in any respect decrease the marvelous off. Doing so creates a tree with susceptible larger shoots and thick, sumpy looking backside branches. I only enable mine boost as intense as they want and that they seem lush and wholesome. The reducing off of the marvelous isn't often stated for acceptable crepe myrtle improve.
