Pretty much the same as I have. I've made mistakes but I have always turned those mistakes into new opportunities and have learned a great deal.

But if I could just go back to '87 or so, I would tell my mother to get a more thorough check-up; might have caught the cancer that killed her early enough to save her.

So much of ones life is determined by forces we have no control over, so going back and changing your behavior or choices isn't going to change the other determining factors in your life.

I would like to say I would be smarter and consider the consequences more. But how do we know those consequences before we live life?

I think you are right, all we can change is today and hopefully that will change our future.
