The old style stockings with the line going up the back was the hottest look in women's hosiery. I wish they'd bring that back.

I prefer stockings and a garter belt, because the hold ups don't come as sheer as the real stockings and aren't as nice feeling. My husband says the garter belt adds to the sexiness of the stockings, and likes to play with the straps all the time. They stockings are really much more slippery and sheer too.

If I had my "druthers" - I would say neither. Pantyhose do the trick just fine. BUT - if I'm doing this for my man . . . can't beat the reaction you'll get when he sees the garter & stockings combo!!!
For some reason, that seems to just thrill their twisted little souls all to pieces!! lol It's worth it, just to be able to give him such a high!!

Depends. Am I performing in a concert? Pantyhose. Am I spending time with my husband? Garter.
On me... stay up stockings, don't.
