I need to be within commuting distance to London, I do not want to live in a town or suburb. I prefer the countryside or by the sea.
I do not like noisy places and I do not want to be near farms where they are spraying chemicals all summer. I like forests and meadows. does such a place exist?

Try Woodmansterne Village, not too far from Coulsdon in Surrey. 25 mins to London Bridge by train.

Why not make things easier for yourself.
Pack in the job down the smoke and get a job up North where the air is clean and the water has not been through a human body 6 times before you drink it.
I'm sitting here looking over the valley at the golden sunset, wondering whether to stroll across the field to visit the local watering hole and take in some fresh air on the way.
I work 4 miles from home and it takes me 20 minutes to get there.
There is life north of Watford Gap.

Eastbourne is ok, not too far by train and less expensive than neighbouring Brighton. Or somewhere near Guildford, some lovely little villages out that way.
