well i am in america but if your checks from your bank are like ours then it will be the first set of numbers on the bottom of your checks that you write out. It identifies your bank from others...the second set of numbers is your personal account.

hope this helps!!

I assume you know if its a checking or savings, if not you can call the bank with your account number and they can verify that. You account number will be on your statement, or on a check/deposit slip, usually the second set of numbers after the |: the routing number is ALWAYS 9 digits. You can get verification that you have the correct routing number from the bank as well, the customer service line knows all! But they porbably won't tell you your account number, only verify (security and privacy reasons, etc.)

It tells the online merchant what bank and location you have. You can find it on the bottom of one of your checks. You will see your checking account number and the other ser of numbers is your bank routing number. If you only have a checking card, call the bank you opened your checking account with and ask them the routing number for the bank. It is all the same because it is to identify the specific bank.

The bank routing number is simply a number that identifies your bank. This is the first set of numbers at the bottom of your check. Your account number is the second set of numbers.

A Bank Identification Number (BIN) is the first six digits of the credit card, debit card, charge card, etc. These digits identify which network the card belongs to as well as which bank issued it.

Online merchants may use BIN lookups to help validate transactions. For example, if the credit card's BIN indicates a bank in one country, while the customer's billing address is in another, the transaction may call for extra scrutiny.

It is the address of the bank where the funds are to be withdrawn. It is on every check used in the U.S. If in doubt where it is located, ask you bank, as I am writing to you in the U.S.
