Any drug that actually works is not available without a prescription. If I'm poor, why do I have to pay a doctor to get an antibotic, and a pain pill for an abcessed tooth?

The "War On Drugs" is failing badly. Organized crime is probably one reason...
Addicts are a culture unto themselves. If you haven't got one in the family, it would be hard to understand how cunning they are; and to guess their 'connections', is something, I would not try to do.
About the antibiotics, well you have a point. It would seem reasonable to be able to get some of these medicines over the counter, but that could be a hit and miss thing with antibiotics. I'd rather go to the doctor.

Its a joke , its designed to keep Lawyers in Business, just move
to a Country, where they have no laws and see if you are happy there.
