In Mathematics, you must be particular that u donot make silly mistakes. You should follow your school Book but from Class X onwards you must try to procure 2-3 books and try to solve problems from all those books. As the question paper will be set by ICSE board and not by your school, this is a must for ICSE students. It is very easy to get 90+ marks in the subjet and if you work a little bit more, you may get 100 and that should be the target of yours from now onwards

Firstly 75% is an excellent result, equivalent to a First Class degree, so don't upset yourself too much. Einstein did not get results as good as that in school.

Read the question carefully, work carefully and check your results. Don't rush. Take breaks if you feel tired; just stare out of the window for a minute. Don't be scared to do untidy work on scrap paper and then copy it out tidily afterwards. (But make sure the teacher can see exactly how you got your answer.)

For instance if you were asked to divide 1466 by 17 you might do a long division and get the answer 96 remainder 4

To check the answer, work out 96 * 17 and add 4

96 * 17 + 4 = 1636

Since 1636 is not 1466 you can be certain that you have made a mistake somewhere and you can do the question again.
