Without a doubt! Have you read the magazines; dogs are soooo last season, cats and thrift store chic are what is hip and happenin' in the world of fashion for Fall 2006! It is at once, bohemian, functional, and feminine! So load that purse full of catnip and treats, and get to struttin'! Never mind if the cat hisses, growls, and threatens to scratch your eyes out; we must sacrifice if we want to be pinnacles of fashion!

Most carry backpacks. Many middle school kids aren't all fashion conscious yet. Only the ones who are the girly girls wear purses. But, I would assume everyone would be using their backpacks or purses to carry books and maybe just a few other essentials.
