Because America is no ones land and people residing there are in a state of confusion (and they don't know this fact for themselves). Go and read their history and you would find that my every single word is true.

Many people don't want to feel like they can be talked into believing something, even if it is true. They want to think they already know. This goes for many people outside of America too. If we were all willing to admit that we are wrong sometimes and be willing to listen to what other people think and have to say, then we could move forward together instead of staying stagnant, feeling as though we know enough. We have a long way to go and can only do so if all are willing to keep learning and keep re-evaluating what we know.

A fast paced routine leaves a person with very little choice about finding 'mental' leisure to verify the credentials etc.. before trusting... It is not just about Americans, it is about anybody with a fast-forward pattern of life !

that is too much of a generalisation for me, but i see where you're coming from; different races of people do have some behavioural characteristics that they share more than others
so you do have a case;

take for example the fact that england has the fattest nationals in europe means there has to be a physio & psychological trend which makes us eat more than them therefore we think and see the world differently to them because if that wasn't the case we'd all be more the same

Not just Americans...all people either trust until you break that trust or not trust at all.

The bigger question is, why do so many non-Americans, lump all of us Americans into one big group as if we're not individuals all of the time? It's becoming very tiring.

Honestly, why do you think Americans are this way as compared to those of other countries....do people not "go with their gut" where you're from?

I believe this is true of most people not just American's and people are like this because their opinions about others are based on personal experience or instinct.
