ok why is it thet men can sleep around but for a woman to do it they get labelled a slut? Whats the difference

Actually it is bad if either of them sleep around, but a woman is seen as a mother, whore, wife, lover , mistress, and men especially like to label us according to how we behave, sleeping around for a woman is also associated with prostitutes, but a man sleeping around is seen as him sowing his wild oats, or gaining experience, it has always been like this, and i would say that a woman who sleeps around is definitely not a lady in any mans eyes.

It is a social stigma that has been around for centries. I mean if you look at our society, you see the double standard everywhere. Like I love how being too emotional is a feminine quality and then bravery is considered more masculine. Everything that you hear that is chalked to one gender or another is a load of crap and was just pretty much established during a time when there wasnt much equality amongst the sexes. You would think that these types of things would have been eliminated by now but unfortunately on some level women still have to deal with societies standards of how we should act and if you don't abide to these youll be labeled for acting differently. This is not to say that the other gender doesnt endure any bs from this either or that others in general don't but women usually go after other women as well for this. I mean I think everyone is entitled to the live their lives to how they fit and should be able to do what they want so long as it does not inflict harm on themselves or anyone else and they are safe.

aah...an eternal question.
although as you get older, men do want to get married, settle down and have someone take care of them...where then women realize "hey, we don't neeeed you...we're out!" :) And are up for 'friends with benefits'.
I recently seen a twist on an old joke...
you've heard people say of women "why would a man buy the cow when he can get the milk for free?" speaking of why a man won't marry a woman even though they are having sex/living together/been dating forever.
"why buy the whole pig when you can get the sausage for free?"

Also - and maybe it's cause I'm all grown up now, but it's very unappealing to me for a guy to be a sleeze. I don't find it attractive at all if he sleeps around. Nasty.

It's just a double standard that the world has and it's no big deal. Man-whores are all over the place and they are proud of it. Women aren't as proud because at some point your friend got jealous and started drinking some hate juice and wanted to bring you down. As you get older, no on really cares.

It is not automatically accepted but it is understood that men do more sleeping around than women.

You may mean that if a man sleeps around it is difficult to track because he does not get pregnant but a girl does.
