He should accept this fact and retire GRACEFULLY.
Like some great sports person once said " quit when you want not when somebody wants"
If he is really a great sports person with sports man spirit
then he should stop playing and allow some young blood in to the team.
He is today what he is mainly due to cricket.
Minus cricket he is no body
And if he loves the game and wants to pay back some thing to the game , then he has plenty of options.
He can start an academy where he can groom youngsters.
He can take up coaching job . His home state is badly in need of good coach right now.
When was the last time his home state came any where near Ranji Trophy.
He can get into management.
To day we have people at helm of the matter who can not differentiate between spin bowling and fast bowling.
He can change the complete scenario since he has vast knowledge of the game.
Ganguly should know the fact that age is catching up and it is not necessary to play the game to serve the game.

Ganguly is a person with a lots of talent. He can make the indian team touch the skies. But right now he is not in form. he must be given time to get himself back. He must be in the indian team.

i prefer him if & only he is interested to play.I agree that He Has creatd some records. But gothru his matches which he playd before few month. Take last 10 matches he hasnt scored more than 40 or 50. Is this is the way that aworld class player plays. Own record is not important for a player. Leadin a team to winnin is must. But he failed to do in many matches & failed to prove his strength. So he shudnt return back instead of that v can give more oppurtunities to the youngsters with full pep. C south african, zimbabwe they r changin their captain if he is not satisfyin. In zimbabwe team they have given oppurtunities for the small guy even not attnded the age 18 inspite of havin many experienced players, world reord players in the team. At least now v shud start givin opp to the youngsters. I thin its better to remove ganguly from team.

Dada is the greatest Indian captain. But my personal opinion is that, he should not play for the country anymore. Indian cricket has given him enough. A player like Kiran more dosent have the caliber to select or reject him.

I do not think in his present form there is any chance for him to get a place in Indian Team. However, he may be considered for future selections if he performs exceptionally well in the domestic matches.
