They are playing with such heart and determination.

Another thing to think about is The Numbers Jim Leyland wears (wore). His number is #10. That was Mayo Smith's # in 1968. He wore #11 when he won in Florida in 1997. That was the # Sparky Anderson wore in 1984. If Jim Leyland wins The World Series, he will become only the 2nd Manager to win a World Series in both leagues. The Only One? Sparky Anderson with The Detroit Tigers. Ironic or Destiny? You decide.

Destiney Smeshtiney. If the Tigers win it all, it's because they worked and played their asses off. Dont' take anything away from their accomplishment by making comments suggesting that they were "supposed" to win.

What a time for everything to come together!! More than the pitching, the bats have been impressive so far. Being able to shut down "The Big Hurt" has been key so far. He ate the Twins up but has been a non-factor in the first two games of the ALCS.

The Tigers (of which I have become a temporary fan!! lol) should win the pennant with no problem. As a Yankee fan you know I'm an American Leaguer so the Mets have always been the enemy. I like the Tigers to win it all.

I think so! Not many teams lose a 7 game series after taking a 2-0 lead. Both of the National League teams are flawed, so the Tigers look like the odds on favorite... Plus the American League team has home field advantage in the World Series.

IT'S PASSION THIS YEAR!!! Starting with KENNY ROGERS in the 3rd game with the Yanks. That was the nail in the coffin for any other team winning the Series! He lit a fire under the team that made it so Leyland (Leyland for Governor) had more of an opportunity to spur the team. Can't wait to see Kenny pitch tonight against the A's.
Robertson in the first with the A's. Had the passion. Shut them Dowwwnnn!!

Pudge, Inge, Granderson, Guillen, Ordonez, Rodreguez, Polanco, Monroe, OUCH!! Sucks about Casey.

It's our time. I've waited since '87 for the opportunity to go to a series. No one in the MLB can stop this freight train.!!

TIGERS IN 2006!!!

I sure hope so, GP! I find it interesting that even a lot of the media are on the Tigers bandwagon many of whom seem to think Minnesota or the Yankees would be in it.

I was REAL nervous in the ninth last night but I had confidence in our boys. Not only is the heart and determination there, so is some skill! Hope they continue that!

GO TIGERS!

PS The Red Wings won 9-2 last night. That was pretty cool, too.

Sorry buddy, your Tigers look great, but my Mets are gonna beat you in the series. By the way dude, do you know when the drawing is for Tigers world series tickets? I registered for them in case the Mets play them, hehe. Also, I see the Tigers are up 2-0 in the ALCS, missed the first two games and the first met game (which was thankfully rained out so I didnt really miss it) cuz I was in the hospital, but im home now!!

I have to hand it to you the Tigers whooped my Yankees and they look like they're on a roll. Team of destiny I think. Like the Marlins in 2003 or the Diamondbacks in 2001. Everything is just clicking at the right moment. I hate the National League so I have to root for the Kittens!!!!

I think the Mets will be a tough challenge in the World Series but with the injuries on their pitching staff, it shouldn't be a problem. As for the Cards, if they manage to win, should be a joke. They never really recovered from their season ending slump.

I tell ya in the last inning I was getting a little worried when the bases were loaded and the winning run was up to bat.

I think I was holding my breath until that last ball was hit and caught in the outfield.

I am praying that they go all the way, as I have said before, they have drive, determination and desire to be the best. They deserve it.

Since the Tigs beaten my Yankees, I'm going to root for the A's. This is not the time for the A's to go down now. They have to win at least two games to take it back to Oaktown.

Prediction: The A's against the Mets with the Mets winning it in six.
