They're quite similair.

Classical guitars tend to have nylon strings or mix of steel and nylon. They also usually don't have any cutaway at the base of the neck and the neck is generally wider than a standard acoustic.

An 'non classical' acoustic can have a neck cutaway, thinner neck and all steel strings. Although the scope for acoustic's is pretty big as it's quite a generic term

Althoug a classical guitar is still an acoustic guitar

STRINGS, classical guitars are made of plastic nylon stings which are soft and easy to play with your fingers or plucking technique. The regular acoustic can be played with steel/nickel plated strings. The classic guitar to me sounds more bass, not a great guitar for strumming.

They are both acoustic.

The strings on an acoustic can be all steel string, or some nylon and this makes a difference to the stye of music played on it.

Classical guitars are made to be strung with non-metallic strings, and do not have braced necks.
Acoustics have neck braces, and the neck tension can be adjusted to allow bronze or steel strings on most. They are larger and thicker, for more volume projection, and may have a "cutaway" body, allowing easier access to higher frets.
Classical necks have less curvature.
