I second your thoughts. The poet should most certainly be spared and I shall go so far as to justify why:

- The poet invokes emotions in people whilst also telling a story in a descriptive way that everyone can relate to (some people may say that priest do the same, but priest speak gibberish, trust me, there is a difference)
- Wars have never been fought over poetry, they have, however, been dipicted by poetry allowing us to see the true horrors that were hidden by our Government (no, this isn't a 'conspiracy, in fact it occured in WWI, WWII, the Gulf War etc.)
- Poetry doesn't demand loyalty but will continue to entertain us regardless (such as poetry found in songs, etc)

I know there are more reasons, but if that isn't enough then I'm quite shocked and surprised.

I'm with you, kill the priest, at least the poet actually contributes something positive to the world.

Both, the poet is dreary and the priest, more than likely a pedophile. Sorry, just my opinion.

I am with Aaron G on this one. Kill the priest! :-)
>Add to that, who needs a priest? Each of us ultimately is responsible for the health of our spirituality and wellbeing of our soul.

Looking at it from a classical sense...not too many differences between the two, really. Both chosen and gifted by the gods.

I will put the gun in between them and let them decide... It will be interesting to see if the priest is willing to violate his own beliefs to save himself!!!

Killing is wrong no matter who it is. I think if they commit a serious enough crime that warrants death, let the gov't make the decision. It is not my place to kill anyone.
