I've heard that some of them have been putting their tags on their dogs so they don't have to comply with their curfews

I wouldn't have thought that they COULD be taken off, without damaging wither the tag or the leg!!!!
They have to check in daily, and so if they had tried to take it off and damaged it, then surely this would be checked??

You will look back on this and Thank God this happened now instead of 4 more wasted years of YOUR life. If you continue to call and call her, she will think of you as needy and won't want you. She is going to rethink what she did to you today and will be hurt, if you act like you could care less. Girls always want the ones they can't have. That is who you are now to her. Let her suffer,realizing what a mistake she made. This will drive her crazy. Right now she is on cloud 9 thinking you will take her back, OH, is she stupid!
Your life isn't ruined, hers is..She lost someone special, and gave you a gift to let to live life and find someone you deserve. Well, I work for a company that happens to make those bracelets and tracking units.
To get the bracelet off you would have to cut the strap or take out the screws and open the strap that way.
Either way, an alarm at the central tracking station will be initiated, the parolee officer would be immediately notified and the offender will get a visit, shortly.
If the offender isn't home, then when he gets back home, he will probably end up in jail for violation of his terms of parol.
The devices are very complex with multiple backup systems.

It can and has been done. A guy released early from prison on a tag He had been out four weeks, he got a friend to take it off and left it at home, went out and bought drugs, went on to ply a 14 year old girl with said drugs and drink and went on to rape her. He is now in the middle of serving a 9 year sentence.

First Iv heard of it, my cousins ex was tagged and when he tried to remove it the police were at the door within 5mins, so sounds very unlikely
