Because its a world wide conspiracy to prevent you from winning. The evil american empire in close partnership with isreal has pooled all of its resources and spent years formulating a plan to ensure that you are the only person in the world who will never win the lottery. Of course they will deny it and look at you like you're an idiot for suggesting it but if you need 'PROOF' there are many websites full of slightly unbalanced people like me making similar claims, what more proof do you need, open your eyes and see the 'TRUTH'. These other websites also have words in 'CAPITALS' which proves they know what they are talking about.
p.s. good luck in this weekends lottery, I've got my ticket.

Statically speaking you have more chance of dying between buying your ticket and the draw. But most people wouldn't count themselves lucky to have survived that period in time, they would take it for granted that they were still alive.
I guess you just need to take it for granted that you will never win.
