Ah Ok a school issue. Thankfully not a personal one.
First, whoever your provider is,,, in a commercial water company sense, they have to have a source. That might take Engineers, Geologists, mechanics, means of acquiring water, from wells, run off, treatment facilities to recycle, etc.
At a water company there are the technicians who monitor the "WORKS" and perhaps people with chemistry backgrounds, for quality testing, Plumbing engineers, water storage techs, A BOSS or two certainly,,,etc.
In the field there will be people to operate heavy equipment, pipe installers, Regular laborers, Truck Drivers, Surveyors, govt. officials and project engineers, etc. OH AND a BOSS or TWO.
More local in the field will be the people who bring the water and it's feeder system to residences and commercial buildings, and that may involve many of the same jobs as previous,,,OH,,, AND a BOSS or TWO.
Once the Plumbers have installed the interior plumbing then it's tested, inspected, approved hopefully, and ready for use to deliver water. Then a call perhaps to A BOSS alerting that the job is complete and the tech is ready to move on to another.
