There ar two actually, "Latex" & "Silicon" both made of rubber which means its water proof.
Latex is thinner than the Silicon but more durable than Latex.
You may choose from brands "Speedo", Adiddas", "TYR" or "Arena" and by the way its not a hat, its a swimming cap.
Good luck to you

Yes, they will keep your hair dry. Your best bet is going to be to put your hair in a pony tail high on your head. Get as much hair into the pony tail as you can. hold your head downwhile you strech out the cap to get all your hair in (we the outside of the cap first for better stretching)

once on to cover all your hair it must go over your ears.

Happy Swimming!

yes, if you wear it the right the way it will keep your hair dry! But if you dont it may not... But they're meant for making your speed go up, not for your hair to be kept dry

A swim cap doesn't keep your hair dry. In fact, it's easier to put them on if your hair is wet, and if you get them wet (I fill mine with pool water and shove it on my head).

its called a cap and no, it keeps some of the water out, but not most. it also helps your hair to not get so tangled and for your head to be more hydrodynamic

you're suppose to wet your hair before you put on the swimming cap anyway so it doesn't matter.
