Tide with alternative bleach (liquid). I really like this brand, and it's recommended by Consumer Reports as well.

I use method products. You can get them at Target, and they're pretty inexpensive. The best part of using method products is that they smell great, and the company doesn't test on animals like almost all of the other laundry brands do. They're very eco-friendly as well, and they come in a couple of different scents...though my favorite is the Morning Bloom Fragrance. They also make detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets so you're covered for all the stages of laundry!

I've been using method products for almost nine months, and my clothes haven't faded a bit, and always smell great! Other than my long advertisement for method, you might want to try in order to prevent fading, try washing in cold water, and make sure not to tumble dry everything...it's the heat that really sucks the color out of fabrics, especially if you leave them in the dryer for too long. Hope this helps!

Tide is by far the best laundry detergent you can get and liquid is best. Powder will leave residue on clothes if it isn't desolved all of the way.
I personally use All he, but I got a free 3 year supply of it when I bought my washer and dryer. It really works too, makes your clothes smell really nice.

I use surf powder and add Clorox 2. A little tip, if you have hard water it is recommended that you use powder and if you have soft water(a water softener) use liquid.

I use two different types.

On my good stuff, I use Tide. On jeans and work clothes, I use ERA.
