I accidently found an instant cleanup to remove the limescale build around taps & faucets in baths & kitchens a couple yrs ago.I have well water & get lots of build-up.

Its the powerful stuff we use to clean our pottys when there's a ring inside the bowl.
I now use "the works" found at dollar stores-their own brand for $1.00.
Try not to get on hands as it'll burn.
I dabble a squirt all the way around where the water tap is attached to the sink, the tub or/and shower wall. It will eat iit away instantly. For the faucets quirt it directly on the targeted area holding a dry cleaning rag underneath to catch the falling solution & rub it back on the scaley places. When finished eating the lime off, take a rag soaked in water & rinse well & dry the area.

Use Bath Power - it is little known but it does the trick! Use a good brush or the rough end of a new sponge and really put some elbow grease into your work. When the tap is descaled it is really satisfying!
