..new desk together, the instructions were all in some obscure european language and it took me ages to make sense of the thing. I feel like I'm a good person who would help anyone out if I had the time but I feel like people tend to take advantage of me. Does anyone else feel like that?

Um...it's hard to learn to say no. I'm 40 and I've just now got the hang of it. I've been on every volunteer committee under the sun it seems like. Now days I just say "No" :)
Or if the need calls for it "No thank you"
