I believed the question should be "emitted" instead of "omitted" anyway the answer is NO LCD screen does not emit any UV rays it is transmissive in nature white light is produce by the lamp then it passes to different kind of glass (dichroic mirrors) then through the LCD matrix then to the the LCD panel so in other words they are simply light like what you use on an everyday basis.

Omitted or Emitted
Well if u meant emitted!
Not at all!
Actually LCD displays are the safest displays! They dont emitt harmful radiations which effect the eyes! LCD Displays are very much safe and their power consumption too is very less!
But their inital cost consumptionis kind of high!

If you really meant omitted!
It does not omit anyrays i guess!

never did, don't now and never will (only CRT cathode ray tubes do this because of the high energy required to release to electrons to be focused and beamed and directed to the screen end - and even it's a historical thing as they all are carefully designed to limit anything but visible light to be emitted because of the concern that I assume you are probably basing you question on) No worry about all the normal eye strain issues and your posture whilst using your PC, the radiation you need to focus on is the still not fully agreed on stuff that comes out of every digital cell phone - that would be more realistic :-)

Yes, I'd aim for one of the new plasma screens or go back to CRT. The UV rays omitted are not deadly, but there are some there.

Did you expect to get sunburned because you look at the LCD screens? (Or maybe the LCD screen look at you.)
