This has always been a problem for Argentina. They will have an excess of players in certain departments, but a shortage in another.
Recently they have had an abundance of midfielders and attackers, but a shortage of good defenders and a reliable goalkeeper.
This leads to another problem, having so many good players at his disposal, the manager can never seem to settle on a permanent starting 11. All this tinkering, whilst useful at critical stages of certain games, will never produce a reliable and consistent team in the long run.
Javier Zanetti has always been one of my favourite players. He can operate at right back, or as a reliable holding midfielder. Unfortunately over the past 2 seasons, he has been bogged down by injury, which led to a loss of form.
The rotation policies at Inter and Argentina, aggravated the problem by ensuring he did not a have a prolonged run in the team, which is essential for regaining top form.
With the influx of quality midfielders in the Argentine squad, it was inevitable that he would be dropped. Hopefully he can recover in the coming months with Inter, and reproduce the performances which made him an outstanding player for club and country.

well podolski .here:s the reason
he was not 100 % fit and he had a grudge with the coach . too bad for the Argentines. he also said that he had some personal problems and will not go to Germany .
my friend told me that the coach didn't want zaneti to play . strange. he must have made the team great.
this is an example of "mistakes always pay before getting forgiveness " .

Puppy Zanetti besides being overweight is old for the world cup level that's why he did not play

coach didn't want him...and wasn't match fit.
