Alright, if you haven't already done so, ditch internet explorer and go for Firefox. (http://www.getfirefox.com/) After this, get Spybot Search and Destroy, update it's definitions and scan, fix all problems and immune yourself. Get AVG antivirus, and update, then scan fully. After deleting all viruses, boot into safe mode in XP (F8 on startup of your computer, keep hitting it) and run Spybot + AVG scans again. Delete all detections! :)

Hello, Yes I think it sounds like spyware and probably got some virus there too. K first I will explain. You need to keep windows updated by going to tools in your internet exploer then selecting windows update. Now why do you need to keep it updated? Well crackers find whats called exploits in windows code that allows them to execute code, Any code they want this can be a trojan or a automatic program that downloads spyware to your computer. You probably went to a site that had a exploit setup for Internet Explorer that allowed remote access

So I would scan with spybot, and defender from microsoft(sometimes different scanners pick up what others don't). Then I would download AVG and scan for viruses. Make sure you update the defenition files on both spywere scanners and viruse scanner.

I think your PC might be infected with a virus/spyware..
I think you should immediately take backup of important files
then if you already have an antivirus then update its virus definitions otherwise download a good antivirus software from internet and scan your system.
if you have problems then boot windows in safe mode and do the scanning
If the problem persists you can remove your hard disk and get it scanned in some other computer by attaching your hard disk as 'slave'
If still the problem persists and you have succesfully taken back up then just format yoru hard disk!

That does sound like a spyware. Run both Ad-aware Peronal Edition ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com ) and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections. All three are free

If you do not have an anti-virus program, download and run AVG virus scanner from http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup/avg71free_405a782.exe for free

It's worth getting an expert to check your computer out at:

http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0

Register, go to the Hijack This Forum, read the instructions on how to post a log, give a brief description of your problem (like you've just typed but without text speak language because it's hard to read!) and post your log there. The guys in there are fantastic and trustworthy and will guide you through in getting rid of anything nasty from your computer. Good luck!

If you don't have an anti-spyware program you should get one!! There are a lot of free ones-like the other guy said spybot-but there are others out there too. Just check into a few online! This should help!
