Nervous system tissue consist of;

Nerve cells and nerve fibres

each nerve cell has a long fibre coming from it.
The cell and its fibre is called a NEURON

A neuron is the unit, of the system that is built up and bound together by a special type of connective tissue ( neuroglia )

To form a nerve

Nerve cells ,are grouped together ,
to form the grey matter of the nervous system.
Grey matter is found in the brain , spinal chord and in ganglia.

Nerve fibres, are grouped together'
to form the white matter of the nervous system
This is also ,found in the brain , spinal chord and nerves
.
a Nerve is a bundle of nerve fibres bound together by connective tissue ( this myalin sheath gives it the white colour)

Any search engine will give you a diagram of a typical neuron which will explain the structure clearly for you .

Good luck,

A group of nerve cells is called nervous tissue. A group of cytons is called ganglion. A nerve cell is called neuron. A neuron has three parts: dendrites, cyton, and axon.

A tissue is a more general term referring to a group of cells of the same type. Neurons are specifically nerve cells.

We need to seriously get some things cleared up here. You MUST go through the following definitions before u know what a group of nerve cells or whatever u're asking is:-

Neuron is a nerve cell. One and the same thing. The basic cell type of the nervous system.

CNS i.e., Central Nervous System is the collective term for brain and spinal cord. So, CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord.

PNS i.e., Peripheral Nervous System consists of the nerves and neurons that reside or extend outside the central nervous system--to serve the limbs and organs, for example.

Cyton - the cell body of a neuron.

Axon - the cellular extension of the cyton carrying nerve impulses away from the cyton.

Now, we move on to your query:-

Ganglion - the location of a group of cytons in the PNS (e.g., the dorsal root ganglion).

Tract - a bundle of axons traveling from one location to another within the CNS.

Nerve - a bundle of axons traveling from one location to another within the PNS.

Nerve fiber - the general expression for an axon in either the CNS or the PNS.

The individual cells are called neurons whilst the tissue made up from a collection of neurons is called a nerve fibre or nerve bundle.

I believe a group of tissues is always called tissue.
Neuron is actually the cells in our nervous system,
hence you might all a group of nerve cells "nerve tissue"!

Neurons is just another name for a nerve cell...
A groups of nervecells makes up anerve tissue..
in different parts of body( brain, spinal cord) it may be called as ganglia, etc.

The Neuron is a single cell. They can group into "clusters" and form pathways. The cerebral cortex has about 90% of all the neurons in the brain, divided in six thin layers. Not sure if that qualifies as tissue though.

Yes it seems that you are correct, a group of nerve cells are called Neurons, although many neurons do not form cells. Please see below for more technical information.
